The grandmother-of-one is a muse to Tom Ford and Karl Lagerfeld, and counts numerous fashion influencers among her best friends. And now she’s added another accomplishment to her deep resume, designer at UNIQLO.
Carine goes to see collections all around the world, and the visuals that emerge from this relentless pursuit of leading edge fashion have had a tremendous influence on the fashion industry, the clothing depicted in these fresh and innovative visuals, produced with the fashion world’s most influential creators, seems somehow triumphant.” – said Naoki Takizawa creative director at UNIQLO.
The Fall/Winter 2016 collection offers an array of styles that are befitting of fashion icon and ambassador of good style, Carine Roitfeld. This collection bridges the gap between new fashion trends and Carine’s always-classic, yet edgy taste.
It’s all about creating stylish and elegant fashion for active women who live life to the fullest—and want to look their best while doing it. Sophistication and elegance, beauty and strength, all of these come together in an alluring look.
The collaboration is sure to draw a new crowd into UNIQLO, as well as introduce an innovative more glamorous edge to the casual wear brand. The launch party in Paris certainly sent this message, as I managed to swoop up a piece of my own!
